Gladiator Sandals For Weddings

I would have never thought of gladiator sandals as being an appropriate type of shoe to be worn at a wedding. I guess I always imagined them as something that you would wear to a dance club, or even at party. A wedding would have been the last place that I would have ever thought of wearing them, but I guess my mind has been changed. If you asked me whether or not you should wear your gladiator shoes to a wedding a few days ago I would have looked at you like you were crazy. Heck, I may even have laughed at you, but I have to tell you that my mind has been changed on that one. Maybe I am too “close minded” sometimes, but I really figured that there is no way that I would have ever seen gladiator sandals at a wedding, and I didn’t think that anyone would have ever dared to wear them, but I guess I was wrong.

I was at a wedding on the weekend and I saw a lady wearing (you guessed it) gladiator shoes. But, rather then laugh at this, or even question if the woman was insane, I instead envied her. I didn’t think that these shoes would ever work at a wedding or at a classy party, but what she did was tremendous. She had a long black gown that was actually dragging on the floor and her shoes were silver. It looked great, and she definitely made me rethink where these shoes should be worn. Call me old fashioned, but I only would have ever worn mine out to a club, or to a party to hang out with my girlfriends. I only ever wore them when I was at a party to have fun and enjoy the attention that I was getting from men. Men love these shoes, and I always expected that it was because they were so sexy looking; which is why I felt that they were inappropriate to wear to a wedding, but I have changed my mind on that.

I realize now that gladiator shoes compliment the outfit. So if I was to wear something that is sexy then the shoes would accentuate the look, but at the same time if I was to wear something classy then they would do they same for the outfit. I am so glad that I went to that wedding because it has made me totally rethink gladiator sandals.
